Karen and I went way back to ballet class in 6th grade. She was a great friend and fun companion.

She will be missed by many.

Karen was one of the first people to join our website.  She was also one of my first friends on FB.  Karen sat next to me in Creative Writing class.  She had a way of always speaking her mind directly to a person.  She wasn't gossipy.  At the time I found that disconcerting, but looking back it was a refreshing trait.

I thought it would me nice to share Karen's colored portrait from UDHS along with the profile comments she posted.

Karen's Comments:  Worked as a secretary/administrative assistant for 37 years, most recently for an adoption/foster care agency -- loved that job, but they moved to Jersey. :( Also did website design (least favorite) and desktop publishing (love it) for 15 years.  Also write SG-1 fanfiction and do historical research. Was involved in colonial historic interpretation for 15 years, now retired.

My favorite PE activity was archery. I was pretty good, if memory serves. Later I learned that my aunt was a State archery champion in high school. Who knew it ran in the family?
