Joseph M. Russello, Sr. Oct 06, 1952 - Jul 03, 2016

Joseph M. Russello, Sr., age 63, died July 3, 2016 at Taylor Hospital in Ridley Park. Joseph was a graduate of Upper Darby High School and graduated with an Associate’s Degree in Accounting from Delaware County Community College. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy as an airplane mechanic. Joseph owned and operated several auto repair companies in the area. His greatest joy, in his later years, was selling hot dogs in North Wildwood. Joseph was a proud member of the Elks Lodge #1896 in North Wildwood.

He was the son of the late Joseph P. and Emma T. (Iannelli) Russello.

SURVIVORS: his beloved wife: Janet L. (Hunter) Russello; children: Joseph M. Russello, Jr. (Michele), Jaclyn Clausen (John), and Jeffrey S. Russello; sister: Lucille A. Russello; sister-in-law: Phyllis H. Russell; grandchildren: Alyssa, Joseph, Rylee, John, Ashly, and Morgan. niece: Jennifer Finley (Jason); nephews: Erick and Steven Replogle: great niece and nephew: Ian and Madison Finley.

VISITATION: Saturday from 9:30 - 11:15am at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home Ltd., 5980 Chichester Ave, Aston, PA. FUNERAL SERVICE: Saturday at 11:30 am at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home Ltd. BURIAL: Mount Hope Cemetery, Aston. In lieu of flowers: Donations may be made in Joseph’s memory to the Resurrection Episcopal Church, Rockdale, 2131 Mount Rd., Aston, PA Condolences: www.nolanfidale.com.

So very sorry to hear this sad news.  Joe was just a great guy.  We grew up together in elementary school. Another classmate gone.  May his memory be eternal.

Joe was such a great guy... a few years ago I was lucky enough to run into him during "happy hour" at a local bar. We chatted about the old days, his love for cars and racing; but he spoke endlessly about his wife, kids & grandkids -- the core and love of his life--he was very proud of them and their successes! 

I ribbed him about not coming to our reunions and he promised he would come to our 50th Reunion sad 

I am sure he will be missed by many ... including the Class of 70'.

I am saddened to hear of Joe's passing! We were in homeroom together, and I remember him as a very kind person. My My condolences go out to his family.
