Over the past few years I have had some amazing opportunities. In 1997 I left a job and bicycled across the US. In 2000 I backpacked the Appalachian Trail from GA to ME. 2006-2007 was spent as Director of a small Quaker school in Monteverde, Costa Rica in the cloud forest. I retired from my career in public education in NJ after 28 years in 2013 and moved to AZ where I serve as Director of Professional Preparation Programs and Chair of the PhD program at Prescott College. Subsequently, I became Dean of the college. In July, 2016 I left my full time roles at the college and.continued to serve as a part time Associate Faculty member working with some masters and doctoral students through 2019. I have been very active in trail running, cycling, kayaking and rock climbing circles. Pretty much I find time to be out and active daily and am still competing in marathon and ultra runs. I am really having a lot of fun at this time of life. I go to Spain yearly to hike the Camino de Santiago and/or volunteer. In 2019 I completed yoga teacher training. I now teach and volunteer part time as a yoga teacher, at Heinz Wildlife Refuge, and as a Court Appointed Advocate for kids in the foster system.
